Hi, I’m Ryan Robinson, the owner and trainer behind Robinsons K9 Academy. With over 22 years of leadership experience in the British Army and a professional qualification as a Level 4 Dog Behaviourist and Trainer, I bring both structure and compassion to my training methods.

I believe that every dog deserves a positive start in life, which is why all of my training is built around reward-based techniques. Whether I’m helping a family with a new puppy or supporting a rescue dog as they adjust to their new home, my goal is always the same: to create confident dogs and happy owners.

I am a proud member of the Pet Professional Network, a community dedicated to raising standards within the dog training industry. To further my expertise, I am currently studying The Behaviour Bible and Scent for Six with the School of Canine Science, ensuring my knowledge stays current and backed by the latest research.

Alongside my business, I volunteer with the Animal Team charity, where I conduct home checks to help find suitable homes for dogs and carry out behaviour assessments to support their welfare and successful placements.

At home, I’m lucky enough to share life with my own dogs – Hebe, a Borador and Vito, a Giant Schnauzer – who inspire much of the work I do with clients. Having trained dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, I understand that every dog is unique, and I tailor each training plan to suit their individual needs.
